Ever since I installed my new 1gb DDR3 ATI Radeon HD4650, I’ve been getting this blue screen error when playing Call of Duty 4. It doesn’t happen in any other game. The error is as follows:
BCCode:117
BCP1:855D6008
BCP2:8F84956A
BCP3:00000000
BCP4:00000000
Error file: ATI2DVAG.dll
The problem lies within an ATI driver file. I’ve already updated to the latest drivers, so please don’t just suggest that.
System specs:
OS: Windows XP SP2 32bit
CPU: AMD Athlon x2 64 2.7ghz Dual (Kuma)
RAM: 4gb 1066mhz DDR2
MB: Asus M2N68-AM Plus
VC: ATI Radeon HD4650 1gb DDR3 650mhz Core
10pts to a solution.

Your hardware might not be supported by Call of Duty 4. For example, my hardware is supposed to support Prototype but it doesn’t run as it should. My suggestion is to check Activision’s (or Infinity Ward’s) website and ask for technical support (remember, only if you legally own the game and it is not torrent downloaded). If you post more details on how the blue screen of death pops up, I may be able to help you further.
