I have windows xp, and my acer laptop just got the blue screen of death. How can I get rid of it. It is on my laptop as I am typing this. Also is this a serious problem? Thanks

The seriousness (I hope that's a word) of a blue screen error can range from just a corrupted driver to a blown processor. Reboot your computer and see if the blue screen of death comes back. If it does, please elaborate on what the blue screen says (try to get the error details as precise as possible).
