blue screen on the comp?

September 19th, 2008 · 2 Comments

This is what the blue screen says:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you’ve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

I got it last month. I was having problems with watching the msn video on lynn spears recently and then my windows media player wasn’t working too well and I got it again. I reset it. But is there a problem? I read about defragging and backing up files maybe and error checking. Are those good, I’m a little afraid to try.
This one said updates didn’t install correctly or something. I get that a lot. Everytime. I thought updates helped. I did get a new printer, it works but is that it? Isn’t there something I can do to stop it from happening so much?

Do a system restore it sometimes helps. If that does not work then use a back up
