I just got a bluetooth USB dongle for my computer. When i plugged it in windows started searching for drivers and installed them. After that the dongle worked fine.
I decided to install bluesoleil from the cd that came with the dongle but i didn’t like it so I uninstalled it. After that the bluetooth isn’t working anymore. What should I do in order to make it work without bluesoleil.
I booted my ubuntu liveCD and the dongle works perfectly there, therefore the problem is not hardware related.

Since SP2 you do not need third party software to support bluetooth in XP. Bluesoleil install deletes native files from windows inf and drivers folders and does not restore them on uninstall (cheap lock-in?). You may try to reapply SP2 (SP3) or just copy the mising files from working system, just grab everything starting with bth*.* .

What should I do in order to make it work without bluesoleil???
solution:
1. Click Start and type services in the Search programs and files text area
2. Click Services in the Programs list that appears
3. From the Services window, browse the list of services and find the Bluetooth Support Service
4. Double-click Bluetooth Support Service
5. Select Automatic from the Startup type and then click OK
6. Close the Services window and unplug and re-plug the USB device
