Last night I went to turn on my computer and noticed a problem.
After the Windows XP loading bar, I would see a quick flash of a blue-screen, including the error, and it would instantly restart, and it would loop over and over, Not enough time to tell what the error is, but enough to tell it was a BSOD.
So I tried everything, I have to do a re-format. The problem is when I put in my WXP disk, it won't let me boot from CD because the keyboard isn't functioning when it asks for it. I've tried changing boot priority, doesn't work.
It's a USB keyboard, does it matter if it's PS/2 or USB? I just need to be able to press a key to get the CD going, but instead it says "Press any key to boot from CD…" But the keyboard won't work until AFTER that screen.
I built my computer by the way.
DFI LP 250GB NF3
AMD Sempron 3200+
1GB G.SKILL PC3200
Nvidia 7800GS

must go into bios settings…at the very beginning and look for anything involving usb..
yes its the usb keyboard taht is preventing from pressing any key. it probably initiates the keyboard later on..
i would first recommend going into bios and doublecheck everything.. or get a ps/2 keyboard.
also for your bsod problem…. try removing all usb connections on your tower.. and boot up.. see ifyou can pass the bsod.
hope that helps
