CA Internet Security vs AVG and Zonealarm Free?

Time Warner Cable offers free CA internet security suite. I used it for a while but didn't like how it slowed my internet browsing and blocked things that should not have been blocked. My question is what would I be better protected with? Zonealarm and AVG free, or the CA security? I have read many a bad review on CA but this was about a year ago. I am also using Ad-Aware anti spy. What else would you suggest for further protection? Thanks for the help!
AVG and ZoneAlarm are both the free edition. Just clearing that up.
