my dvd drive is damaged so i tried installing xp from my USB drive..after installing the text based portion my system rebooted to enter in to the GUI part of the setup..but an error message popped missing or corrupt <root>/system32/hal.dll…now i cant boot into the lap since there is no OS installed…i have tried expanding a fresh copy of hal.dll from the OS setup files using recovery console but still it is not resolved…i have lots of important files in my drive…

just format your pen drive and using this software to bootable your pendrive with windows xp then install operating system on your computer…i have used this it works very well
