How do you get those anyway? I use Avast antivirus and watch which sites I use. Avast doesn't seem to be getting rid of it.
I know I have it cos Avast flashes it up when I do a scan. I put it in the virus chest when it asks but it doesn't seem to be getting rid of it. Thanks x

Try Spybot Search and Destroy as it may provide better results:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Even if your program does not get rid of it, it may DETECT it. Using the information provided, use the location of the trojan to search for it yourself and delete it.

Tell us first how you know you have a trojan ?
Thanks for the update:
1. Update AV & antispyware programs.
2 turn off system restore
3. re boot in safe mode & do a full set of scans.
4. re boot if clean turn on system restore.

Hi
Do a search using the Trojan's name and you'll easily find websites that will help you deal with it the best way.
Each to their own choices, but what I like you may not?

Go here
http://freetutorials.name/Reference1/AntiVirus_tutorials.html
scroll down the page to tutorials, then download what you think you need (one or many - they're free)
one or several will remove the infection
hope this helps

avast is a program for newly formatted PCs. it tries to monitor the changes but it won't get rid of the problem after the primary scan.
you can try free antivirus softwares like:
1. Avira Antivir
2. Kaspersky
3. AVG Antivirus
4. Spybot Search and Destroy
to keep your computer safe, you might want to try:
1. Comodo (firewall)
2. ZoneAlarm (Firewall)
3. make sure that your windows firewall is set up
and other maintenance softwares like:
1. HiJackThis (this is for advanced users)
2. CCleaner (cleans and fixes your registry)
other antivirus softwares which are not free but effective are:
1. Norton 360
2. Trend Micro
3. MCafee
4. PC-Cillin
those sort of things…
just remember to always update your antivirus software.
i keep antivir on my desktop since it doesnt require too much memory when running, it zaps virus and its free.
try to search on http://www.downloads.com for more stuff. they have the latest softwares there.
hope i helped! =)

I can't believe people are ACTUALLY recommending these AV's…which I will not name NORTONS (vomits)
but you might have more than 1 infection is why it seems to never be going away….you can look in the chest use the simple user interface click the menu drop down and go to chest and I am sure that if you click send it there it will…and if the file is in use it can cause a problem…so go the menu and choose schedule a boot time scan…it will restart run a scan and put those nasties in their place
I love avast and it cost the exact right price….FREE!!
