Can I add a P2P blocking program like Peer Guardian without removing my McAfee anti-virus without problems?

September 4th, 2009 · 2 Comments

I just want to stop people from viewing the sites I go to like torrent sites, but I don’t want to change my anti-virus program (McAfee) and I’m afraid of my computer crashing if the 2 programs are not compatible. Can anyone please help me before I cause irreparable damage and lose or damage my files. I need to get an IP address blocking program ASAP! Please help!!

PG and mcafee shouldnt have a problem with each other as neither is a virus. Though i do recommend you dump mcafee anyways, its near laughable as an antivirus.

Don’t worry, Peer Guardian is not an anti-virus so you have no danger of it crashing McAfee or your computer.
