Okay. My computer has recently caught a virus. It's making our computer go haywire. The computer is really slow and really takes a long time to do one thing. It's making my internet run slow too. So, someone recommended Norton Anti-Virus, and I decided to go with the newest version, Norton 360 v. 2.0. Our money's a little tight right now so it's pretty hard to afford, but so is a new computer. But then I searched all over here on Y!A and I've seen alot of negative feedback to Norton, mainly that it really slows down your computer. So is it alright to use it, remove all the spyware, and then uninstall it? Is that even possible? Will my computer go back to normal after I clean it out and then uninstall Norton?
Also, the Norton 360 says it has backup storage. "Automatic backup and restore." Does that mean that if the computer crashes and everything is deleted, this will restore it?
I know it's alot to answer and please tell me if you know from experience.
Thank you guys so much for taking the time to read this and answer. Also, if you have other super whiz contacts that are experts in this type of stuff, pleasestar it so they have a chance to see it. Starring is really so that I can get more people to answer, you can even unstar it after a while, but just so that your contacts can see it.
Thank you so much once again!

Your computer will return to normal only if that virus is the cause.

Yes you can uninstall it. If you are on a PC just go to Control Panel on your start up and there should be an option to add/remove programs and you will be able to do it from there.
