Absolutely, especially if you are sharing your files.

Videos are going to vary. You can see the sizes when you search them.

Your questions are very ambiguous. You can get a virus from Limewire, many people have. It's easy to avoid this though if you just make sure you are downloading the right file type (i.e. if you're trying to download a video, don't download a .exe file) and make sure the size looks right (i.e. if you're downloading a full length movie and it's only 900 kB or a music file that is only 100 kB you know something is not right).

As far as average video size…that is completely dependent on the video. If you're talking about a full length Hollywood movie, it should be around 3-6 GB. Some compressed movie files might be 800 MB - 1 GB.

And don't listen to that silly girl above…Limewire is completely legal. It all depends on what you download. Downloading anything copyrighted is against the law. So obviously, any Hollywood movie is illegal to download. BUT - this is so hard to enforce that they only go after the people who SHARE copyrighted media, not who download it. So just make sure that after you download, remove that file from your shared folder so that others can't get it from you. Then, you can't get into any trouble.

yes you can get a virus from limewire.. scan all videos before you open them. the average size of a movie is around 700 mb.. oh and if a name looks suspicious don't download it.. and most mov files are viruses so don't get those ones.

Yes, it is possible to relieve a virus from Limewire, especially if your using the free version instead of the pay version. But if your smart….you can avoid them by paying attention to file sizes, etc.

Depending on the length, quality, and size of your video, it should rough out to be 10MB or less for a minute of good, high quality video.

As for legality, it depends on what you download. If you download media that has not been secured and proclaimed "llegal" by Limewire (their is a filter you can turn on), then yes it is most likely illegal. Can you get away with it…….well, lets just say the odds are in your favor :)

DO NOT download vids from Limewire or any other fileshare software. I had the unfortunate experience of getting a virus on my comp, its never been the same.

Yes, you can get a virus from LimeWire. I would think that the most likely file types to have a virus would be .exe, .htm, .html, .vbs, .bat, and .reg, but I'm sure many other types of files have viruses.

A feature length movie (90 minutes - 2 hours) averages between 650 MB and 800 MB. Higher quality videos of the same length would be larger in size. A shorter video would likely be around 20 MB to 50 MB. Basically the video size varies based on the length, quality, and encoding of the video.

Most stuff on LimeWire is honestly not legal to download, especially full-length movies and music tracks. If it was legal to download it, then sites like YouTube would probably already have it, and you wouldn't need LimeWire.

LimeWire doesn't scan files from the Gnutella network, so viruses can be downloaded. Scanning the files before you open them would be the best option.
Be especially careful of .exe or .vbs files because they are targeted most often for viruses.

Video file size depends on length, video quality, and the format type

you can definitely get a virus by using limewire. limewire downloads files directly from another PC. it won't intentionally download the virus. some viruses "piggy-back" or hitch a ride while hidden in files. some viruses are disguised as files.

video file sizes, depending on the format, length and aspect (screen resolution size) can vary from 1kb to 8gb. there are even larger ones but quite rare since these video files would likely be used for professional reasons and hence would not be anywhere where limewire can get to it.

yes it is completely legal to get a virus from limewire.
and yes it is also legal for video to be of average size.

but when you use limewire to download files without the owner's knowledge, it's stealing. technically when you install limewire, you are consenting to "share" files to others on a network. but it's not made clear which files you have agreed to share and which files you don't want to share. it's like asking your neighbor if you can borrow something from his garage. he says yes. then you take something from his bathroom.
