Yes, I use both of them and I also use this,
      Ewido.
Go to the left of the page where it says,"Scan your computer now online
      and clean it for free!"

You can have an anti-spyware program and an anti-virus program running at the same time. What is not a good idea is to run two firewall or two anti-virus programs at the same time. I am running 1 anti-virus and 3 different anti-spyware programs at the same time behind 1 firewall.

Yes it's safe and best choice on anti-virus and anti-spyware!

but running them together will slow down your PC .

yes you can but you should be able to find one that does both at the same time. my best answer to this is like I said before. "stopzilla.com" use free trial and it does both. I think it does. stuff like this bugs me because I . don't know if this stuff is going to use up to much memeory. and mess things up. or make it slower.

You can use both an Antivirus & Antispyware program at the same time with real-time scanning mode turned on.Most of the Antivirus programs now have Antispyware scanning integrated into it as a separate module………….
