The reason i want Ad-Aware and McAfee is because McAfee doesn't find anything.
Yet on my old computer Ad-Aware found lots of cookies etc.
Btw my McAfee is the all in one security suite with tools to block spyware, adware and viruses etc. Everything basically
So is it ok to have both of them running on my computer?
Update* - The Ad-Aware is the free version 2008!
Thanks for you help in advance!
and McAfee is the paid version yet still finds nothing….

Yeah, it's perfectly safe to have both since Ad-Aware 2008 is an antispyware. It's not recommended to have two antiviruses since they will conflict. I also use McAfee and Ad-Aware, McAfee to protect from viruses and Ad-Aware to scan for spyware. The reason I have both is because McAfee scans take way too long and yeah, finds no tracking cookies like Ad-Aware. They never had a problem since the day I installed it. I also use SUPERAntispyware as well, so I have three programs.

yes this is fine just pay attention because sometime one of the programs will detect the other progam as a problem make sure you tell them to ignore each other if this comes up…otherwise back backup is never a problem.

add Spyware Blaster to that mix. it's a bit different from all the others as it uploads spysites to your security's restricted zone. currently about 5,000+

I would get rid of mcafee it sux imo. And to the idiot that said why get free crap. Sometimes the free crap is better than the paid crap. Try eset or avg or kaspersky. Good luck!
