Can I uninstall my corrupt mozilla firefox and download it again without crashing my computer?

When I got a prompt to upgrade my mozilla firefox.I restarted my computer. When I clicked on mozilla firefox, it told me that the file was corrupt. Can I uninstall it and just install it again without crashing my computer?
