Hey guys, my Windows Vista Starter is now running out on the trial version, can I buy Windows Vista Home Basic and just upgrade it? (As opposed to a clean reformat)
I read it in the internet that the only way you can upgrade Starter is to go Ultimate which will obviously cost me more than double. True?

Yes. You don’t have to get ultimate. You can get any version. No reformat required.

going straight to ultimate is not required…but i havent heard of upgrading it without reformatting..to install service pack yes but not to change an operating system
