Can I use firefox as a browser, Norton 360 as a antivirus/firewall on a Apple Mac Mini?

June 12th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Is this normal or is it overkill to also have Norton 360? Is Norton 360 compatible with a mac mini?

Norton 360 will not run on a Macintosh. However, I wouldn't worry about running virus protection or an additional firewall on your Mac. There aren't any active viruses out there for the Mac, and Mac OS has a good firewall built in.

There is a Macintosh version of Firefox that works quite nicely, but you might consider some other options:

      Safari (comes with Mac OS)
Camino (uses the same rendering engine as Firefox, but feels more like a Mac app than firefox does)
