I have a Toshiba Satellite a105-s4604 with windows xp and i would like to install windows vista on it. I have a classmate who has a Toshiba satellite laptop and i have a copy of the recovery disc my friend has for her laptop.. Is it possible to install the recovery disc to my laptop?

strictly speaking you dont have a license, but if there are not too many hardware differences between your Tosh models it would work

Of course it will work. Providing you have the necessary hardware. Just three days ago I used a Toshiba recovery disk from my laptop to install vista on my Dell desktop pc. Luckily for me there were no problems when activating it. So it should be ok!
