Can someone help me with a Norton Antivirus question?

September 1st, 2008 · 3 Comments

I bought a Norton Antivirus license from my desktop last December, and I still have the license number. Is there any way I can transfer this Antivirus onto my new laptop?? I don’t have the file backed up on anything, and the hard drive crashed so I wouldn’t be able to get it now, anyway :( That’s why I bought the new laptop, lol…ANYWAY. Does anyone know if I’ll be able to use this license from my laptop now and not the desktop?

Thank you :)

yes you can. you may not remember but you should have opened an account with norton when you put it on your computer. This account will be active still and you can redownload it from here. If you don't remember your password..it will resend it to you.

EDIT: My email kept returning. Here is the page you need off their site.

Yes, you can use that license number on your new laptop. But what I do suggest is that you can contact Norton regarding these so that they can guide you in reinstalling Norton and activating your license number for your product subscription. You may visit the Norton/Symantec site at http://www.symantec.com/business/support/contact_techsupp_static.jsp for their contact number. I’m sure they can guide you since you have subscribed and have a paid account for that product.
