Can you recommend another good antivirus and firewall other than avast and zonealarm?

I'm using avast home 4 and zonealarm free version.
Since I installed zonealarm my computer is really slow.
I have 1GB of ram with windows xp pro and it's an 2.8GHZ older computer.
Can you recommend another good free firewall and antivirus that doesn't slow down much the computer? One that uses less resources….
Please do not recommend AVG, it's not soo good and crashes a lot, and doesn't protect computer as it should.
At least my experience with AVG is NOT GOOD.
