Cannot install games on windows vista, not a valid win32 application?

September 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I have Vista on my laptop, its up to date will all the windows updates.
I cannot install Sims 2 or any expanstions, Civilization 4 or sim city 4.
My CD drive works, i can install other games from CDs, microsoft office and autorun is working,
i can play CDs.
I have checked my auto-run defaults and they good.
I cannot install in safe-mode, i get the same error.
Since these games are EA or affiliates, I have checked their support boards and found nothing there. Their support was also not very helpful.
I also have all these games installed on my XP desktop.
