I am running windows xp and security tool has infected my computer and i CANNOT remove it. i have tried every forum and download. when i try to install an application it will not run it. it will not let me run any application. not even process explorer. i tried changing the names, but it does no good because it saves the files as applications and not .exe files. i have tried to restart in safe mode and it will never fully boot up before blue screening. please help me i need to type several papers for school.

Hi, you may not need the ".exe" at the end when you rename the program. Follow these instructions to rename your spyware remover installer program:

Supposedly, some people have better luck if they rename the installer program to explorer rather than iexplore.
