Can't open mozilla or uninstall it & Cannot uninstall spybot?

May 11th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Computer started acting crazy & signing off by itself, now can't get into these programs or uninstall them. Tried re-booting, backup, system restore. It says c:\program file\spybot search & destroy uninstalls000.msg is missing. Also, windows cannot access the specific device, data or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access them.
I have Vista

you need to go back to day one
      1. buy windows vista
      2. put in windows vista
      3. reboot computer with vista in it.
      4. vista main install menu will come up.
      5. follow install instructions
      6. finish install
      7. finish setting up windows vista.
      8.install an anti-virus program (TRUSTED)
      9. viola vista is back
      10. enjoy vista.

NOTE: WINDOWS WILL NOT HAVE ANYTHING ON IT. YOU HAVE TO GET EVERYTHING AGAIN.

Try restarting & pushing F8 to get into safe mode than try running your security software to clean it up. You probably should turn off system restore first than turn it back on after.

If this does not work you will probably have to run your recovery program to clean up. Save all your files to an external source first.

Running on a user account without administrative privledge helps prevent these things.

      Good luck.
