Cant open my messenger or uninstall it or re-install it , help?

I cant seem to open my messenger from my desk top or my files . I tried to uninstall it but it wont , I keep getting an error message . I also tried to re-install it but everything freezes …i am thinking its my computer and not yahoo but I need some help anyways ….anyone ?

      If yo are using Version 9.0 it has too many problems. This is what I recommend:

      First you have to uninstall the 9.0 version, or any other version you may have. Go to CONTROL PANEL—-than go to PROGRAMS/FEATURES, or ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Scroll down till you see YAHOO MESSENGER. Click on it and than click UNINSTALL. Use this link below that I provided to install:

      http://download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr8/us/ymsgr8us.exe

      Ummm that does not work i cant uninstall mine its like its a virus or something
