So I downloaded the Sims 2 awhile ago and I played it. Then my computer crashed and I reinstalled it. It stopped working awhile ago, when I click on the game it takes me to the install screen. So I click the language and then a pop up comes up saying "The Sims 2 is already installed. Please uninstall The Sims 2 if you wish to install The Sims 2 deluxe"
But I never owned just the Sims 2 game, I've only ever had the Sims 2 Deluxe. So I go to Add/Remove programs and its not on there. When I go to start menu ea games the sims 2 uninstall, nothing pops up. Then I deleted every folder containing the sims on my computer, but it is still giving me the same error.
What can I do?
The Sims 2 site told me to delete the files, so yes, I was supposed to do that.

You shouldn't have deleted folders. Try to ask it on the EA site, they might have answers for you.
