i Cannot stat windows vista
i have a dell xps m1530 laptop
heres the error message i get

windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix this problem:
1. insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. choose your language settings, and click ‘next’.
3. click ‘repair your computer’

i have tried the steps that i got with the error message but they did not work. i also tries system restore and that did not work. and as a last resort i tried to reinstall vista and the install failed.
