Can't uninstall BitDefender Internet Security 2008?

July 3rd, 2008 · 3 Comments

I dunno, but I am unable to uninstall BitDefender. When I go to add or remove programs, BitDefender isn't even listed there, there is no option to uninstall it in the start menu, neither in the bitdefender install directory. But it is installed as i am using it right now. Anny suggestion?

Go to the Bitdefender website and they offer a removal tool that will completely remove it from your computer.

What you have to do in these cases is to go into your Windows system file. Try the (my computer) files first.

Change the file view to show the file with its name on it.

you will see a folder above and it will change the file to (Thumbnails), tiles, list, icons

After you do that, Find the program there that you want to uninstall. Then delete it. from the files program.

Be careful of files that you delete in this file. They can make your computer not work. Make sure that you know what you are doing, Sometimes, the only way you can remove a file from your computer is to wipe the C: drive. You will probably find a lot of files there that you thought you had already deleted. But be careful Here. Don't delete anything that you are not sure of.
