Going to Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs/Clicking on Yahoo Messenger merely gives me the following message: “Could Not Open Install.log file”. Other people seem to be getting the same response. Opening Messenger also does not good–there is no “Uninstall” link. Has anyone found a workaround–I want this thing off my PC. Thanks
Lady—that doesnt work. By merely highlighting and right clicking to delete only deletes the icon–in fact after clicking on "delete" the response will that only the icon will be deleted and to delete the program, you must go to Control Panel, Install or Uninstall Programs etc. Thats the process that doesnt work. So–here i am again–full circle.

i don’t know about vista, but for xp, (and hopefully vista has much the same), go to start, then go to search, click on “all files and folders”. type in yahoo .
This should then bring up everything yahoo. You will have to delete one by one. Hopefully, this will do it for you. However, when you have deleted, go back to control panel, if still there, hit uninstall again, you may have to repeat the search and delete again, until all gone.
