combat arms/ X-fire/ bad image (C:\windows\system32\dinput8.dll)?

Ok so i play combat arms. I started using X-fire to talk to friends and ever seance i started using X-fire my computer has been acting up. So i did what anyone would do and deleted X-fire and did a system restore to the day before i originally downloaded X-fire. Now when i click the combat arms icon, a window pops up and says, ” The application or DLL C:\windows\system32\dinput8.dll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette.”

please tell me what to do!

and i have been playing this game seance july and i re-installed it too a while ago.
