Common folder containing helper.dll?

March 11th, 2009 · 1 Comment

ok so whenever i start up my computer a folder opens up thats called programfiles/common . in it, it contains 4 files one which is called helper.dll. now i havent believed this to be harmful, just annoying because whenever i click on a like in internet explorer, a nother window comes up and it usually leads to an ad, or such.i have seen solutions by searching it on google, but every solution is different so i havent believed any to be a good fix. i also scanned my computer with Trend Micro PcCillen, Spybot, and Ad-Aware and none of them have come up with a virus or anything. please if you could explain what this helper.dll is exactly and how i should go about removing it. and if you would, DONT say google it because i have already tried that
