I’ve been playing this game called Maplestory and I had no problems with it until last night. At first, I assumed that it was the server since I kept receiving this message “unable to connect to server”. After figuring that there was nothing wrong with my server or connection, I assumed that it was my firewall.
Here’s the problem.
I don’t have any firewall programs running on my computer. Windows firewall is even turned off, so I thought. I opened up my windows security thing in control panel (I have XP if you’re wondering) and surprisingly it said that Comodo firewall Pro was running. I couldn’t turn it off and I swear, I uninstalled that months ago! So I searched the computer and deleted the files that Comodo is located in and it’s still running. I’m baffled. IT’s really frustrating.
The Comodo that I downloaded was off of download.com. It’s freeware.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I’m thinking that I might have to resort to downloading another firewall and setting that to default, but I absolutely hate firewalls and their annoying pop ups.
