Which one is the best? I want my PC to be well protected.

I have tried both and I prefer Zone Alarm free much more than Comodo. It has the best ratings for a free firewall and does not take up many system resources, so it won’t slow your computer down. Anything that want’s access to the internet has to be approved by you first, and if you are not sure what it is, it will give you a link in the pop up window and try and help you decide if it is a legit program.

I haven’t tried Zone Alarm free, so I’m not a qualified voter, but I’ll add to the discussion by saying:
(1) I saw PC Magazine and others rate comodo better (of course, who’s to say they’re right? - nobody’s perfect)
(2) I use comodo and feel perfectly safe. Warning: comodo goes through “training”. It “learns” your habits. At first, very often, and then less often as time goes by, it presents a little window saying something is going on, and asks if you want to allow it, and whether you want to remember your decision. Almost 99% of the time you’ll check Allow It and Remember. It’s a hassle, but you’ll be glad for the protection that’s going on behind the scenes.

They are both excellent Firewalls and highly rated by anyone that knows about PC security. ZA has the edge in terms of downloads and there are fans on either side. Some answers will say one or the other is the best. I use ZA and rate it highly; so do friends. You can’t go wrong no matter which one you choose. They are the best free firewalls available and better than some paid ones.
