you don’t need to Remove Super Anti-spyware Free Edition, if you want to remove i recommend you Remove Norton 360, then Download Avg anti-Virus it is better than Norton360, go to this website then Download here http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html

      It’s fine.

You don't have to remove superantispyware program because this is a spyware program only and the way it work is to keep the computer protected from (spyware, malware, adware, trojan horses, and some computer worms) Now as for as Nortons, this is an antivirus program, and if you have an advance version (not just the antivirus version) you still will be alright even if nortons came with a spyware protection program (included) because you can have more than 1 spyware program installed. So keep this spyware program because it really is a very good spyware program, and it is Free, even if you have window defender or any other spyware program installed.

i use McAfee Security Center and also use SuperAntiSpyware to do weekly scans…dont have the free version running all the time(in the system tray) it doesnt help unless its the paid version that has real time protection…..only use it to do weekly or monthly scans

I have use the SUPERAntiSpyware free edition before.
Many features are disable for the free version, so basically it is a crippleware. I have uninstall it and use spybot.

Yesterday, my free anti-virus caught a trojan virus.
To ensure that the virus caught is not a false positive, I upload it to virus total web site to check.

      http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/c3558d843dd504f46d72986f53f10d3a

To my surprise, all the big names in Anti-virus industry cannot detect the trojan. The one that detect the trojan are mainly the free version.

I would suggest that you uninstall Norton and get Avast. It is free for personal use.

Avast boot scan in Windows safe mode is the most effective way to get rid of stubborn trojans and viruses that keep coming back to haunt you.

These trojan and viruses hide themselves in system restore folder and many anti-virus programs cannot get rid of them. So whenever, you restart your PC, the viruses are restore back by WIndows.

Avast boot scan help to get rid of them in the system restore folders and ensure your system are clean.

Spybot is the best in anti-spyware

      http://www.safer-networking.org/

Spybot have many features that make your system immune to spywares.
It can monitor windows registry to prevent virus and spywares
from modifying it behind your back. It can lock the hosts file and
prevent spywares from hijacking your home page.
It also have tools to scan your system for rootkits.
On top of it, there is a registry cleaner that remove error
registry entries. All the features are availiable for free.

I have Avast and Spybot on my home PC.
