computer crashed and it displays missing hal.dll file, boot.ini?

my computer wont even work anymore. it just displays missing hal.dll file and something else about a boot.ini i think… the only OS that works on it is pc linux but its not totally installed cause there's gotta be a way to fix XP… if anyone knows how to fix this please help me!!!!
