Computer Error?

June 16th, 2008 · 5 Comments

I had to re-install my OS but so I didn't lose all my files I chose to just replace the WINDOWS Folder. It worked fine with pictures, videos and files etc. but when I try to play any video files that are .avi I get the following error:

*File address.avi* is not a vaild Win32 application.

does anyone know hot fix this?!

Thanks;

      maybe it's missing some codecs

      You should have back-up your files. The procedure you did was wrong. YOu might have corrupt something in the windows folder which is very critical in running the windows application. I recommend to back-up your files and reinstall your OS.

      Did you reinstall all codecs? You need codecs to play certain video files. You can use ace mega codecs. some format use avi extension, eg. XVID, DIVX, etc. Hope this will help you

      Open any folder on your computer.Go to tools>folder options.Go to the file types tab and scroll down to avi,assign a player to open them with and you should be good to go.
