I'm starting an at home job and the company I'm with has a list of allowed/supported software. I need 2 from the list, I already have McAfee, can someone help me narrow down who my 2nd should be. And also are the Anti Virus & the Firewall inclusive of eachother? Or do I have to have 2 seperate things for each.
For Antivirus:
Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus (7.x)McAfee Internet Security 6.0 (8.x)
McAfee VirusScan (8.x - 10.x)
Norton AntiVirus 2004 - 2006 (10.x - 12.x)
Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition (7.x)
Norton Internet Security (7.x – 8.x)
Symantec AntiVirus (9.x - 10.x)
Symantec Client Security (9.x - 10.x)
And these for Firewall:
Windows XP SP2 firewall – Instructions for enabling Windows Firewall
Sygate Personal Firewall Pro (5.x)
McAfee Personal Firewall Plus (6.x)
McAfee Desktop Firewall 8.0
Symantec Client Securty (9.x)
Notrton Personal Firewall 2005 (Corporate Edition) (8.x)
Thanks for any and all suggestion
I have Spy Sweeper for Anti-Spyware. Is that Ok? Thank you all, I'll be talking to these people about their poor limited choices.
THanks,

You poor, poor person. Go stick it to your boss that you should be allowed Avira, Kaspersky, Nod32 and Comodo.
None of these will protect you much.

Oh yeah, that should be fine for anti-spyware (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/download-free-anti-spyware/ is a good scanner too)

From that dubious list AVG and windows firewall is your best option. Tell the ginks you also need anti-spyware.

Most of the time the two come separately because each is for a different purpose. However, according to your list Symantec Client Security can do both, so why not kill two birds with one stone. If you prefer to buy two separate programs, I prefer Grisoft VG for Anti-Virus. And for the firewall I would go with the McAfee Personal Firewall Pro.
Hope this helps!

Ouch! Poor choices.
Go with anything BUT AVG, (mediocre virus detection, poor heuristics) and Windows Firewall (no outbound protection at all)

You have McAfee but is that anti-virus or firewall, or both? You should only have one of each, more than one of each will cause problems. From that very limited list, Norton is the best choice, AVG free av and Windows firewall the very worst.
