Computer giving no video input, monitor works on other computers, signal intermittent… works sometimes?

July 29th, 2008 · 2 Comments

When i start the machine I get a no video input, its been intermittent and i've tried reseating the graphics card(which is new) it was doing this same thing on the onboard graphics before i switched it. I don't know what to do, its kind of annoying. I think that it might be a grounding problem with the motherboard or some other issues, there are no beeps on start-up but i'm at a loss.

It must be on your motherboard or check your bios settings

unplug all external usb devices.. including keyboard, mouse, printer, flash drives, external hard drivers.. everything plugged into USB ports.

Sometimes, a faulty USB device can cause what you're talking about.

If the system comes up, usually you can plug everything in with no problems once it's up and running.

Then, start unplugging them one at a time to know which is causing the issue.
