Make sure you defrag it regularly, and run disk cleanup every know and then. Make sure you scan your computer for viruses. And try some little things like cleaning your prefetch and temp folders (Access both typing them into the "run" feature, and delete everything in the folder).

You can try running the disk defragment. You could try running your anti-virus. OR you could vacuum out the inside. Once dust gathers up the computer will get slower.

If you want to go completely free, may I suggest?:
AVG 8.0 (Anti-Virus with Anti-Spyware)
Spybot Search & Destory
Lavasoft Ad-Aware Personal
Windows Defrag (On PC already)
Then just having a gay old time scanning and cleaning PC.

Clean up temporary files and registry using Disk Cleanup or something like CCleaner or Easy Cleaner. Then defragment using Disk Defragmenter.
