Computer is VERY Slow?

My mom’s computer is SOO slow! We use the same connection, but mines like lightning fast and hers keeps freezing. I scan her computer everday, deleted her history & cookies, and did a disc drive, it’s STILL slow.

My aunt restarted the WHOLE computer but it was still slow after that. It gets REALLY annoying! How can I make it faster, like mine?

She has a LOT of free space! Barely anything really, so no, it’s not the RAM.

- 5 years old (desktop)
- Dell, Window XP
- Norton Virus 2008
- Used everyday; regular
- Internet Explorer 6 (No, I’m NOT downloading Firefox, I tried already)

It’s not ONLY the internet that’s slow, it’s everything.
