A few days ago my computer overheated and shut itself off. a bit later when I was able to use it again the internet/connection was very slow, i couldnt even connect to most sites because of that, and the sites that did work either did not load completely or loaded incorrectly. did something get fried? if not how do i fix this?

I would try and determine why the computer over heated and fix that. Is the whole system slow or just the internet? You could be getting an outage from your isp. Do you have any other computers u can test the internet with?
