Usually when I am finished with my laptop (HP Pavilion zd8000), I put it on standby or hibernate, just for the sole purpose of starting up quickly when I want to get back on. But, whenever I do get back on my computer, it runs really slow. I then choose to restart the computer, and when I do, a box pops up asking me to end the program “Disabled”. Once I end this strange “Disabled” program, it shuts down really fast. Once I turn the power back on, the computer runs at normal speed. This program does not show up on the Task Manager. Is there any way to end it without having to shut down and turn on my computer?

what im thinking is that you dont have enough ram. when you put it on hibernate, a portion of the ram is still saved (thats how when you reenter, stuff are still open) turning off the computer resets the ram, so its clear. how many MB/GB you got?

In your bios under power management ACPI choose S4
you will suspend to disk instead of ram in standby
If it still does it :
Try a third party Task Manager like Taskinfo http://www.softcab.com/TaskInfo_1625.telephone
Launch it when you come out of standby
It will show in real time what is using the cpu.
Then try to determine if an application or driver is doing it and uninstll/reinstall that application or driver.
Get updates for the driver or application.
If it is a strange process, google the name of the process and see if it may be malware.
