Hello.
My computer came with a copy of Norton Internet Security already installed. I then installed a copy of Zonealarm Security Suite.
I have the two running together, however the 'Anti-Virus' portion of Zonealarm is off and I can't turn it on because Symantec Antivirus is on! Now, as the Norton pack came with the computer, parts of it - namely the anti-virus - are now expiring, but I don't want to pay to renew them.
So what should I do?? I kinda want to completely uninstall the Norton package so the fully-functioning up-to-date Zonealarm can control every aspect without Norton getting in the way.
Firstly I don't know how to do this, and secondly…is this really a good idea?!?!?! Or am I very confused and delusional?!?!?
Any help much appreciated - if there's anything else you need to know just ask! Points will of course be awarded to those who can help me with my Internet security!!!
Thanks so much!

I agree with your game plan. When your Norton expires you're going to have to do a thorough uninstall before you'll be able to make full use of your ZA Suite.
Keep this link handy because you'll need the Norton Removal Tool to get it completely off of your system:

Also, do you have an on-demand antispy installed? You can use as many on-demand antispyware as you like. I personally use and recommend Superantispyware. (I have others, but Super is the one I recommend before any other.)
