I have an old computer and i just got high speed internet from Qwest on it. After i got it, my internet was fine, but when i tried to do something on my computer, like word processing, it went really slow, like way slower than it was before I had the internet. I asked my friend who’s a computer wiz about it and he compared it to throwing a huge log on a small fire. He said that your computer is so old that it has to take extra time to read the language of the internet so it makes your computer run slow. So I was wondering, if i get like half a gig of RAM for it, then will it start running fast again?
My computer has a 3200+ AMD Athlon XP Processor 2.2Ghz and it has 512MB of RAM

If you could provide specs for your pc that would help. In general yes the extra RAM would help. But it also depends on the speed of your processor. Lower the processor the hard it will be to prevent the lag even with the extra Ram.

How much RAM do you have right now?We need more details. How old is your computer? If its too old i dont know if the memory upgrade will help it or not.But if its not too old then i think upgrading RAM will solve the problem.Try to get at least 1 GB.
