my computer is running slow when on startup, it goes for 30 - 40 rounds at the windows xp thing and when it reaches the welcome screen, it sounds draggy. it's also slow when i open a program. my comp gt intel core 2 duo 2.66ghz, 500gb hdd (440gb free space), 4gb of RAM, geforce 8500gt graphic card……. i tried msconfig, virus scanning, defrag, %tmp%…… well, it still the same, tell me what's the problem

when you get there delete everthing lall programmes and aplication that load when your computer start like ( msn and yahoo messenger,adobe photoshop,acrobat reader,quicktime…) if you have an antivirus leav it just only on the run
