XPAntiVirus (also known as XP Anti Virus, XPAnti Virus and XP AntiVirus) is fake spyware removal tool that is usually downloaded onto your computer by a Trojan (most likely the Zlob Trojan) or under dubious circumstances without your consent. Once downloaded, XPAntiVirus begins to haunt the user by displaying false security alerts and "detecting" fake threats. The purpose is to get the user to purchase the full version of XPAntiVirus spyware removal application.
This will remove it free.

you have to be careful what you download…some of the rogue anti virus will report false positives in the hope that you purchase their full version which is equally as useless…….
Take a look at this site..be very wary of other posters giving you links to obscure sites for anti virus..I see that so much here.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads29.html This is a forum I regularly visit and it's the one place I know I can trust for downloads. That link i gave you takes you right to the anti virus section, where you can make a selection. Other sections include anti-spyware. Only run ONE anti virus at any one time, and only use one anti spyware that has real time protection.
Hope this helps
formatting the hard drive as the poster above said to do is NOT necessary!

AVG Free Edition is an anti-virus program that is very good and 100% free with automatic update. However, it only does anti-virus. Combine with Windows Defender, a free anti-spyware program from Microsoft and the firewall that comes with Windows. AVG and Defender should help eliminate all that you have now, and that with the firewall should help prevent things in the future. It's not the best protection, but it is free.
