Ok so i have bought a wireless xbox 360 controller (they didn’t have a wired one in stock) but i don’t have an xbox im just using it for my PC, so ive researched this and it sounds like i have to buy the “Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver” (could someone verify this?) or are there alternatives that don’t cost me anything? (from my research you dont need a wireless adpter for the ps3 controller you just need a program so why does the xbox controller need one?)
so im tempted to buy that, but then. i was thinking of taking that a bit further and wondering how many controllers can connect to the “Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver”? is it just the one hence do i need one for each controller i use? or as many as the game allows?
thanks
rob

You need the receiver. The XB360 has a built-in receiver, but the PC does not.
