Hi everyone.I got some list of questions!
I got a bootable Windows XP SP2 cd,I copied all files of this cd to my hard disk. Now my problem is when I burn these files to a new cd using nero 6(under make data cd)the new cd became non bootable. Then I booted my pc with a diffrent bootale cd and tried to run setup.exe file from the copied cd which didnt work.It says that it will work only in windows environment.
Can anyone resolve my problem please.Thanks.

You have to use nLite to make your Win Xp Sp2 bootable. Plus using nLite you can customize Windows Xp like adding or removing programs, drivers, updates, add Service Pack 3, and etc

you cant just copy the files over, the bootable files are hidden files, you have to copy the disk as an ISO or NRG image file and then burn that image to CD-R, use the Copy disk feature in nero . that will also copy the bootable files

The boot files are hidden so copying files from a CD to hard drive isn’t going to cut it. I use poweriso.com to make bootable CD’s. But like the guy above said, using the copy disk feature will catch the bootable files. If you dont have two CD drives, then create a ISO file to your hard drive.. Then when you burn the ISO to a CD the bootable files will be in there too.

You specifically need to create a bootable CD using Nero, adding the boot image from the original CD (which you would have to extract using ISOBUSTER or a similar tool). If you look at the options for creating a CD in Nero, you’ll see that one of the options is CD-ROM (Boot). Just copying the files across doesn’t make the CD bootable.
To get a bootable XP CD, either do a disc image copy of your original CD with Nero (rather than just copying the individual files across, which as I said, does not work), or create a bootable CD using the following tutorial:

To get the boot image from your original CD, open the following tutorial and then scroll down the page to the heading marked “Extract the Imaging File”:
