a few weeks agos avast resident scanner found a win32:trojan-gen other
and i was using housecall at the time so i choose to delete it at start up then i did a anti-virus scan and nothing was found so i use housecall again and it came back . both cases have been found in locals temp second case is now in the virus chest.
just wondering because i don't like what the description is for Win32:trojan-gen is . but i have the win32:trojan-gen other . are they the same

Sounds the same to me…
trojan-gen means its a generic type of trojan, not identified with a specific name.
