please help i am currently using a linux live cd as others are using my home computer and have been using air-crack on that file but it is frustrating if the live cd fails because i lose all data so i thought id use air-crack for windows but i found i need to create my own dll to link my wireless card to airodump i dont need step by step instructions just a point in the right direction or a link to a page with some info thanks in advance Paul x

1. Your'e going to need Visual Studio or the equivalent development environment. Obviously a compiler is necessary.
2. It will likely not work anyway. Windows does not get into promiscuous capture with nearly as many chipsets as UNIX or Linux.
The best option, and what I do is run BackTrack 3, or the new 4b, from a USB drive, allowing me to save files and data.
Of course, I know you are only attempting this on a network that you control and would never do anything illegal.
