i have a xp microsoft computer (that being came with xp) i installed vista ultimate. i wanted to take vista off and go back to xp, but when i tryed to do a dell system restore (using crtl+f11 on startup), it wasnt working. So i installed vistaboot pro, to take vista off. but i think that i had taken xp off completly, along with the newly removed vista. so now i have no OS on my computer, when i go to turn it on an error comes up saying File: \Boot\BCD Status: 0xc0000034
Info: the windows boot configuration does not contain a valid os entry.
but when i insert my vista disc, the same thing happens. i have my xp installation disc also, which i have tried, but along with the vista nothing happens, i get the same error.

Ok, here's what you should do, what Microsoft does (this is what I heard) that Windows Vista does something to the BIOS/Motherboard making it almost impossible to downgrade to XP/ME/98 etc. What I think you should do is get a new hard drive try putting vista or xp on that, then get a external hard drive case and put your old hard drive in that so you can get your files back. Also if you want both XP and Vista, google a tut on how to have both Operating Systems on the same hard drive.
