Hi. I was looking for an antivirus to install, so I am between these products. Recently tests from av-test.org and av-comparatives.org, showed that avast detected more malware than kaspersky. Does it make avast a reliable antivirus?
Avast uses less memory, and is not annoying with popups etc, and avast webguard doesn’t slow internet speed as kaspersky. Kaspersky updates much more often. I really can’t decide between these two. I am looking forward to avast 5
I don't speak about virusbulletin 100% awards, in which some antivirus fail if they get one false positive

I think avast is better. But I recommend BitDefender Total Security 2009.

Those AV test are BS. Kaspersky failed because of a false positive Sometimes you win and sometimes you fail these test. Kaspersky is still on the high list of great AV program

kaspersky is a very good anti virus, not easy to kill (yes i love to kill anti virus programs and make a video of it and let the companies know how easy a kid can get past them)
avast may use a lot less memory but so does avira which is a lot better.
and ESET’s Nod32/Smart security has won the most awards and failed only 2 times in the VB test (lowest failure) (only AV to use ADVANCE heuristics and IS THE LOWEST memory hogger with a mere 19MB
i would use KASPERKSY OR ESET
u should choose KIS but its customer support is a piece of ****.
